Holy crap: Obama reads the Wall Street Journal?

That's a great picture. One of the things that sold me on Obama, from a personally-comfortable-with-him point of view, was that I saw him at an early rally, and he absolutely lit up at the end when there were kids around. Guy loves children, in an enthusiastic-dad sort of way. Which as a former little league coach, I respect. Also, it's a trait often missing in really ambitious politicians. Paul Wellstone was like that, too, and my old Republican congressman Jim Ramstad. But mostly the really ambitious politicians visibly don't much like children, including their own.

Actually, only the outside cover of what Obama is holding is the folded front page of WSJ. Directly inside is the first section of the People's Daily.

Directily inside the People's Daily is what appears to be a hardbound copy of the Koran.

Inside the Koran's cover, however, is a dog-eared copy of Borges' "Labyrinths." Within, a small mirror is being used as a bookmark. The mirror is currently at the end of the story, "The Garden of Forking Paths."

Also, another thing that the liberal MSM of course ignores is that the picture clearly shows that Obama is wearing bell-bottoms.  This is solid evidence, if we needed any more, that our friend Hussein is a tool of the Bill Ayers-terrorism-counterculture-weathermen-ACORN-homosexual conspiracy that is planning to take down the U.S. from inside.

And the Secret Service guy standing at the car is -- why am I not surprised? -- black!  And they try to tell us that Obama's campaign isn't racist.

Black secret service agent, black car, black candidate hitting a small, white child who is grimmacing in terror. What next America? The negrofication of America has begun.

Seriously, that is a really sweet picture, even by itself devoid of any campaign context, it is sweet. As a father of a kindergartner, and two preschoolers seeing it is really nice.

The really sad thing is that I have no doubt - none whatsoever - that there are nutcases out there who would take this picture and make something out of it.  I would not even be surprise if a Republican Chairwoman of Fuckcity, Middleofnowhere "Republican Woman's Sorority" write a circular linking the sex ed ad with this pic.

Other than that, if there ever is a poster to be made of Obama's presidential campaign, this is it.
