Photo of the Day

A crowd sign from McCain's rally in Virginia Beach this morning. It's interesting how many GOP partisans seem to view McCain as running a "kid gloves" campaign.

P.S. In truth Jonathan Martin has the real photo of the day--another, very non-kid gloves crowd sign.

Keep going with that sign, mister. The beauty of this is that McCain can take of the kid gloves AND lose.

I've never been a big fan of political rallies -- mostly because I don't like chanting dumb slogans.  But these McPalin rallies look just aweful.  I wonder what it feels like to be a moderate Republican surrounded by such bitterness?

From the same folks who believe our difficulties in Viet Nam and Iraq were the product of a "kid gloves" approach to conducting war.

Is it logistically possible to disguise a massive container ship as a town hall, schedule one of these rallies, and then, before anyone realizes what's going on, box it up and send it out to sea?  Who knows, maybe these people will wind up finding true happiness on some Utopian island where there's no welfare or gays.

Even as a liberal, I have to admit that the "Obama bin Lyin'" sign is pretty inventive. It may be in serious bad taste but artistically it's commendable.

OK, just trying to keep things straight: actually acknowledging Obama is not an Arab is kid-gloves treatment.  Whew.

Still, I believe (or hold on to the hope that) it's not the loud ones we need to worry about, should Obama hold on and win.  Somebody who has enough native cleverness to come up with "Obama bin Lyin" is probably clued-in enough to figure out that trying to blow up something in anger is probably a bad idea.

I doubt if they came up with it on their own. Almost certainly they heard it on talk radio.

There's even a sticker.
