Slightly off-topic, but I have to ask a pressing question: who the hell is the "yeah!" yelling guy?!  You guys have to know what I'm talking about; just listen to any of the big Lieberman applause lines.  Someone give that guy a job backing up Lil Jon.

I'm not sure if those words would set off a fire-storm. Certainly some people would note it, as people are paid to gripe about things no one else has griped about yet. But it is better than "clean and articulate."

Personally, I felt Thompson's red meat about the Democrat's "historic candidate" was tacky, crass, and just plain mean spirited more than Lieberman's faint praise.  The man's simply an a**hole.  I find being lectured  who found being a Senator too hard so he went back to Hollywood acting rather laughable.

JB, he pretty much did.

I felt the same way about Fred Thomson, Crock. And his acting skills showed up bigtime with the way he dramatized that speech.....slow long pauses for effect, and just milking every Vietnamese abuse detail for applause.

As for turncoat Joe, his  speech felt like watching a man publicly knife his close friend in the back.  At some point I couldn't handle it and I turned off my tv. Very disgusting night.
