Latinos for Obama, Big-Time

Not the first time we've seen this but a new Pew poll has him crushing McCain in the demographic, 62-29.

Was it John Judis, or Chait, or Tep, or PCCostello who was hand-wringing about the ability of Obama to get the Latin vote?

I don't put any stock in this poll, this early, any more than I do in other polls, but I would like some  retrospective clairvoyance on this issue from the savant and pundits ...

self refential tidbit: My parents, who were die hard Hillary supporters and did grumble about possibly "sitting out" the election if La Reina lost, are now solid Obama supporters. I knew they would turn around and I believe that this is happening all throughout the Latino community...

My madre is very political and she tends to go black and white when she settles on her views. She now refers to McCain as "the old fool"...

and my padre, whose interest in politics has seriously waned over the years - he says that his main job is staying alive and with all the doctors appointments, pills, injections, and surgeries, he has a point - told us a funny line when we were kids. I am sure he heard it when he was a kid in Boyle Heights during the Depression...

He would say, "Kenny, a Republican is someone who just can't enjoy his steak unless he knows for sure that someone else is starving."

Whatever Crowley.  Whatever gives you nocturnal emissions at night.  Doesn't obama have 115.6% of the electorate's vote at this point according to the polls? Why even have the election?

I give it a "B" for rapidity (10 minutes TNR time = like 1 minute real time) and for zinger-quality.    But I would say a democrat is someone who sees a starving person and wants to give them a steak, gratis, un-Christian qualities about doing so be damned.

Your statement fails to explain why Democrats are willing to tax themselves.

This is definitely a big plus for Obama. McCain will have a tough time turning NM and NV, and it puts CO in play.

McCain's only hope is to sweep the Reagan Dems in MI OH PA MO. He has to either go populist on a few economic issues-- trashing Wall Street's malfeasance and the Fed bailout would be an obvious first step-- or else he's finished.

Yeah, that sounds about right to me.
