Dunno. The ad worked for me just fine. I immediately went over to ActBlue and contributed $250.00 to her campaign. Anyone who can survive a "Nancy Pelosi 'San Francisco' Fundraiser" without turning gay or a druggie definitely can survive the US House of Representatives.

And I agree with young Mr Thurmond.  It's terrible how Mrs Roosevelt is encouraging mingling (and even dancing!) between the races at these so-called "receptions."

Wow.  Never been more proud to be a Mizzou grad (or a fan of dancing at pool parties).   Shows how much the Missouri GOP is suffering for leadership.  NW Missouri is a rural, red area, but there are several universities up there.  Hopefully the kids are eating this up.  Ha! I can't get enough of this one.

It's so weird how the GOP likes to run against geographic locations.  Hollywood liberals.  San Francisco values.  Cambridge elites.  New York City, Massachusetts.  Do Democrats demonize localities like this?

For baseball you can't beat AT&T Park. Harding Park's a pretty descent public golf course, too. If you like to hike, we should spend an afternoon over on Mt. Tam in Marin, with a stop at Muir Woods--just gorgeous. The remodeled De Young Museum in the park's a treat, as are any number of other museums and galleries. Cal Performances over in Berkeley runs the gamot from classical to ballet to world music to gymnasts. If you're into BDSM, I know a local dominatrix who'll tie you to her rack with parachute webbing, stick a hot poker up your butt, and urinate on your face. If you like to sail, we can get out on the Bay on a blustery day, maybe swoop around Angel Island. Live theater, science exhibits, cabaret, jazz...just say the word, Sam--we'll take care of you.

I kept looking at those dancers and wondered what they were told to do - "dance like hedonistic gay people!" ??? But then I figured that this was probably stock footage, like that little girl sleeping for Hillary's 3AM ad.

It's amusing to watch the unhip try to criticize The Hip. So each of those dancers is supposed to represent one of the three undesirable "Yes to items". Then the black chick is yes to same sex marriage-ok maybe. But the black dude is "Yes to abortion"-huh. And the punk rock chick is yes to "amnesty for illegal immigrants"-hardly. Well they tried-they could have just played "Onward Christian Soldiers."

It would have been a lot more effective if they'd pasted Kay's face on the body of a dancer. And not a towel-head in the whole spot!  Naah, these guys could do better. Or worse, whatever.

Of course Kansas City is a modern-day Gomorrah, with all that barbecue and Royals baseball.  A city with that many fountains is just begging to be San Francisco, right?  Right now that ad is provoking me to calculate whether I can move to that district just long enough to vote against this yokel, and still be within reasonable commuting distance.  

stgla--to be fair, some Democrats (frankly including me) have been demonizing parts of Appalachia a good bit the last few weeks; they would of course argue that Appalachia's been earning it in spades, but still...and no, I'm not sure you see it in your basic ad material quite the same way.
