Bush vs. Obama

White House spokesgal Dana Perino denies that Bush's remarks at the Knesset today about those want to negotiate with "terrorists and radicals" was aimed at Obama. "I understand when you're running for office you sometimes think the world revolves around you," Perino said. "That is not always true. And it is not true in this case."

On the other hand, we have this CNN report

The president did not name Obama or any other Democrat, but White House aides privately acknowledged the remarks were aimed at the presidential candidate and others in his party.

I report, you decide!

P.S. According to CNN, those "others" include Jimmy Carter, whom Bush would spotlight in Israel for obvious reasons, and presumably in the hope that Jewish voters in Florida are taking note.

Don't know if Bush is the "worst president ever," but he certainly has out-Nixoned Nixon for "most petty and venal president ever."

Love the gloss on Fox, Michael. Of course Walker was aiming a headshot at Obama. The $64 question: Will Obambi be able to return sustained fire at the McCainiacs and the 527's that he will certainly recieve from them?

Yeah, damn that Jimmy Carter in Israel.  All that fellow did was almost singlehandedly negotiate the most stable longterm peace Israel's ever known, with a neighbor that had to that point fought it four times in thirty years.  That Bastard and his negotating!

Dana retorts, Mike derides!

It's comforting that they've found something for Bush to do, i.e., nag his successor for planning to abandon cowboy diplomacy. Given that said ham-fisted statesmanship has helped contribute to Bush's current astronomical approval ratings, tasking him in this way makes perfect sense, just as killing a tick that has wandered into one's bellybutton by violently disemboweling oneself with a pair of scissors makes perfect sense.

Lowly job that snarking Obama may be, at least Bush still has a job. I'd hate to see him have to go to the unemployment office just yet, given how long the lines are getting down there.

Bush has no class.  I hope he lives a long life so he can see that not only is he reviled while in office but will occupy a place in history lower than Nixon's.

You know how you can tell Dana Perino is lying? Her lips are moving.

Stgla, agreed. I'm glad he's in such great shape; he'll live long enough to see his presidency reviled as 8 year trainwreck. He only has to make until November to see Rove's 20 year Republican majority washed into the rocks.
