Surprise! Hezbollah Has Rearmed

Well, what did they think would happen when, last year, the Security Council passed Resolution 1701 bringing the Lebanese War to an end?  I can barely count the times I wrote that Syria would simply smuggle to more and more arms to Hezbollah.  And what would the world do?  Nothing.  And that's exactly what has occurred. Oh, yes, the U.N. secretary general pronounced the situation "grave."  Not "very grave," mind you.  Just "grave."  That puts the matter into perspective.

All of this is reported in pieces in Ha'aretz and the Jerusalem Post this morning.  Hezbollah now has long-range missiles that are capable of reaching Tel Aviv, including the Zelzal and Fajr missiles made in Iran. In Iran, mind you. If this isn't a build-up that will end in war I don't know what is.  The only difference is that Israel knows what it needs to do.  The really threatened country is Lebanon, and its threat is not from Israel.

Are there missiles headed for Constantinople with high possibility of being used at the first incident? If there are...perhaps... Well, but one lives in Dublin (isn't that so?), far, far away from Telavive, and is able to preach...

Another ignorant comment from the king of Irish bigots.

The most interesting thing now is to see how long it will take the geniuses in Jerusalem to put an end to this. Last time they waited 5 whole years. Now it's been a year already of massive armament in both Gaza and Lebanon. I wonder.

Meanwhile tonight we saw on TV a documented rocket launcher placed in an elementary school in Gaza (Beit Hanoun), and then its crew as it was shooting 4 rockets from it to Israel. One of them hit a home, and by luck missed the 2 grandchildren who were visiting their grandparents in that house.

Israel is not allowed to stop these shootings. The plane sees it and videotapes it, but gets the rocket crew only after they are out of the protective school proximity.

I guess this is justice incarnate, eh, Ignorant populist? A real dream come true. Israel letting the Israeli Jewish kids get the rockets, and spares the Palestinian kids' lives.

Talk about victim narrative.

No one perfected it to a form of a higher-level art than these damn Palestinians have. The ultimate victims! So much so, that their victim children's lives should be more precious to us Israelis than our own kids'.

But that's just coz I'm not not Israel's defense minister. Instead of me they chose that retarded stooge Barak.

Lucky Arab kids to have their lives in the safe hands of such a noble minister.

One day I'll understand the populist's elusive sense of humor.

How is Turkey-Baghdad related to Israel-Beirut?

I'm too stupid for this man I tell you.

Babigail,

Don't you know that Palestinian terrorists never commit War Crimes (ND's favorite phrase?).   Operating out of a school?   The rules of war do not apply here . . . .

Trust me, Molly, they wouldn't have applied for me either.

But even if this clown wants to spare the Palestinian kids, why doesn't he level this school at night? no kids there at night and it's a good way of making a new rule about using schools as launching grounds.

But lest you should get me wrong, it's not Barak's nobility that stops him from reacting properly. Nothing interests Barak less than any life of any kid anywhere at any time. His only object of genuine profound ardent interest lies elsewhere: in the man who occupies the chair of our defense minister, known as Barak Ehud.

Oh yes, that's the man he loves and cherishes most, and he's not going to let a few lives of Israeli kids hinder his road towards the real goal: the PM's chair.

He will not risk being in the center of any serious debate or do anything decisive (he is quite satisfied these days by declaring once in a while that the day of a wide attack on Gaza is getting nearer...), he would not jeopardize his prospects by protecting anyone or defending the people he was put there to defend.

Barak is way too dear to him to do anything hasty that may result in distancing himself from the real goal. And we and our kids are his subjects.

Sorry, I'm with ND on this: the real crime in this case is committed by Israeli leaders against Israeli innocent citizens.

Haaretz is above such petty matters, but both nrg and Ynet have the video on their news pages. It's in Hebrew, but the video shows the launching of 3 rockets. So if you are tenacious enough you can also watch it.

But not on Haaretz. no, no. Haaretz big news is what... yeah, the supreme court ruled something or other in favor of Israeli Arabs.

Gotta get this kid out of there before they manage to contaminate his soul and twist his values beyond recognition.

Marty! Help me salvage ma boy! Take him on board TNR!

You have to be a galut Jew, Abigail to understand, "populist."

The guy is a traditional Irish bigot who is engaged in what used to be called Jew bating. His only interest is to arouse the ire of some Jew who is naive enough to take him seriously.

He doesn't care about the "Palestinians" and I doubt that he even hates Jews. Hatred is an honest passion and this miscreant is incapable of strong passion.

He is a total looser and people should stop taking him seriously.

But then again, who the fuck cares what he's saying.
