The Underminer

Bill Clinton is still at it. This morning he was on ABC pronouncing that McCain had acted in "good faith" in asking to postpone Friday's debate and reminding people that McCain even wanted more debates. There really should be an equal time law or something stipulating that Chris Rock must follow Bill Clinton on all of his TV appearances.

There is one good that comes out of all of this.  The Clintons are finished in the Democratic Party.  All they have to do now is to Lieberman themselves and the world will be set right.

The man is a cad.  He was a cad in '92; he was a cad throughout his term; he was a cad when he got all his friends to lie for him.  I never liked him and am very pleased to be proven right about this low-life's character for the past sixteen years.

Well, if Obama loses, at least I'll have the satisfaction of voting against his wife again in four years.

Bill Clinton tells us as clear as he can who he trusts to be the next President, John McCain.  Clinton is right. Can you trust Pelosi, Reid and Obama to rule this country?

On Larry King last night he went on and on about how ok it was to like McCain and praise him and how we should not criticize him but talk about Dem policies (he never once praised Obama). He even went on about legislation that Hillary tried to pass.

Deranged narcissist is right.

Bill, shut up.  If you're not going to help, then shut the f up.  Can you do that?  For, like, a month?  Christ.

jacob, kiddo, the correct verb for what the US government does is "run" the country.  "Govern" or "lead" are also acceptable.  Monarchs "rule," and I wouldn't trust anyone (not your candidate, not mine) to "rule" the United States.

Also, Mr. Clinton's favored candidate couldn't run this year, having already been president for two terms.  His second-choice lost in the primaries.  He is taking that loss rather poorly.

Both he and his wife are deranged narcissists.  I know I state the obvious when I say that he wants McCain to win so Hillary can run against either him or, more likely, Palin for president in 2012.  I wish both of them would just go away.  Forever.

I thought he'd decided to be pro about it after his excellent convention speech, but he's been a spoiled brat ever since, going on about Hillary and what a great guy McCain is and how we shouldn't let his personal conflicts with Obama REALLY get in the way of supporting Obama. The guy so clearly and transparently wants McCain to win so Hillary gets another shot that its not even funny. Hillary I give props to - she's been a real pro when she's gone out for Obama. Her heart might not be in it but she's been saying the right stuff and doing it pretty convincingly. But Bill just doesn't know how to lose. Total pain in the ass.

I think I want Obama to win so he can shove Bill off to the side almost as much as I want him to win just because he'd be a better president than McCain. He can work with Hillary in the Senate, but he needs to fix Bill up with some cheap hooker and get them a hotel room for the next four years. Or eight.

See Bill sticking the shiv into Obama. He might as well just declare his support of McCain and go on the road. Maybe he'll run across Joe Lieberman while on the bus. They could talk about their respective collections of baseball cards, do a little tradin'.

Asshole.

Bill is absolutely out of control. There's nothing subtle about what he's doing.

And why is he making the high profile rounds this week? The View, Letterman, Daily Show, etc.

It's not like he has a new book to sell. What the heck is going on?

I'm not sure why this isn't a bigger story. He is near-openly, unashamedly, trying to sabotage Obama. Why aren't Dems more angry about this? I worry he'll emerge unscathed.

He seems to be under the impression that if he sabotages Obama badly enough, Obama will lose, and Obama will be blamed for it.  He doesn't seem to get it that he'll be blamed for it.

Bill Clinton is now more interested in establishing himself in statesman mode rather than staying a politicians.

He's also not particularly interested in seeing Obama become president.  He and she will do the minimum for that and pay only the requisite lip service.

In fairness, losing nomination seekers don't really do that much stumping for the guy that beat them.  Guiliani seems to genuinely like McCain, so he's doing some.  Who else?

Maybe they are angry, epp.  But, if they get into an open fight with him at this juncture, that would only make things worse for the Dems who would look openly divided.
