Trouble In Memphis

Nikki Tinker has outdone herself. After race-baiting Steve Cohen a few days ago, she's now race and Jew-baiting him. And then, just in case things couldn't get any more heated, the Armenian genocide reared its ugly head. Tomorrow's the actual primary. Vote Cohen!

P.S. It's almost too late now, but I really hope that, in light of the last few days, EMILY'S List rescinds its endorsement of Tinker, which was a mistake even before she began to run such a despicable campaign.

Tinker has wisely pulled that ad from YouTube, as she has done to her other ads. Thankfully she is saving the web from some extra bandwitdth in preparation for her loss tomorrow.

Seriously off-topic but on point for a blog at the New Republic.

Lee Siegel was interviewed recently on NPR

-Siegel was so infuriated in 2006 with the flaming he was taking on The New Republic’s website and by the magazine’s policy not to intervene in the fray, that he began answering the ugliest criticism in the online comment section via a pseudonym. He got caught, was suspended from his job and treated as vain and ridiculous.

-- LEE SIEGEL: I was called names that I can't really repeat on your show. But at one point, someone called me a pedophile, not using that language, and I thought, you know, enough is enough. I called one of my editors and I complained about it and they said, well, you know, this is just the way it is. You can love it or leave it.

-- And I just answered out of exasperation and on principle, and, of course, out of my foolish pride, but I gave them tit for tat and the whole thing blew up, and it really wasn't a very bad ending. I wrote a book, the policy at The New Republic changed; online anonymity is part of the debate now. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Another great job from EMILY's list.  More cash spent on a intra-party primary fight between two Ds with no differences on the issues.  At least the Club for Growth types pull this shit over ideology/votes.

I disagree with Cohen on Armenia, but the guy barged in uninvited into his home. That is a seriously creepy and scary thing to do.
