The hawkish, rock-star God who only speaks to kings to harden their hearts and destroy their nations, the God who commands his chosen tribe to commit genocide and punishes them when they leave a few survivors? Or the dovish, moderate God who redeems the life of any individual who seeks him with an open heart and who shares his grace and mercy with all the nations? Clearly, God is just another BS artist who will do or say anything to anyone to get his way. The fact that so many people with slightly differing opinions and priorities worship God just shows what a slippery, two-faced con who can't be trusted.

Therefore, even though he actually agrees with God on most issues, tep will be worshipping Baal or Moloch from here on out.

Rhub - the two faces of G-d you mentioned are of course a reflection of our own better and worse natures... but you probably knew that.  You're joke does beg the question - would G-d be able to win an election in this country?  What "scandals" and "flip-flops" would the Press dig up?  Forgiving the Jewish People after the Golden Calf?  Deciding to destroy the world in a flood just 10 (admittedly long) generations after creating it?   Who would be G-d's running mate?  Moses?  Jesus?  Or maybe Abraham who has cross-demographic appeal to Jews, Christians AND Muslims?  But Hillary supporters would never flock to such an "All-Male" ticket, so perhaps G-d should invoke the Feminine aspect of Divinity and run as Goddess and Abraham?

I think the weather is doing McCain a favor. His flying out to the rig was not going to upstage Obama's Berlin speech.  The only thing that can upstage that is Obama making a major gaffe.
