Everything You Need To Know About Primary Day

Good morning. It's Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island primary day.

Today could be the mother of all primaries; the primary to end primaries; the primary royale--so make sure you're up to speed.

Read our in-depth primers on the Texas and Ohio contests; check out Jonathan Cohn's up-close look at Hillary's last minute pitch to the voters in Toledo, Ohio; game out every possible scenario with Noam Scheiber, and keep your eye on tonight's bottom line with Jonathan Chait.

Yeah, it'll be the "primary to end all primaries" just like WWI was the war to end all wars. An indecisive split decision that just leaves the side that finishes in second place with just enough resources and just enough seething resentment fight again and take the party down with her.

Stupid Democrats. You can't wound Hillary Clinton. You either have to give her the nomination with no defeats, or you need to finish her off quickly. Leaving her wounded but alive is like giving a flesh wound to a grizzly bear. It's just plain suicidal to leave an angry Hillary in position to damage the party.

Regrettably, Rubarbs is right.

With Bill and Hillary it is always "The Clintons uber alles." Isn't that what happened in the 90s? The Democrats lost both houses of Congress, due in part to  Hillary's hubris re: her heavy-handed attempt to reform health care. It's always about them and never about the good of the party.

Make no mistake if she keeps this nastiness up, Hillary will destroy any chance the Dems have to win the White House in 08, and will decimate the Democratic Party's chances downballot too. The Clintons will have then given the Congress back to the GOP a second time due to their own un-ending egotism and self-important narcissism.

The superdelegates need to grow a spine. That they are Democrats makes this unlikely.
