Wookies for Paul

Mike's already remarked upon the ubiquity of Ron Paul supporters in New Hampshire. But today I saw one who stood out from the bunch. On an overpass on I-93 just north of Salem, a person holding a Ron Paul sign and waving at the cars whizzing by below was dressed up as Chewbacca.

"...dressed up as Chewbacca"?  How do you know it wasn't, in fact, Chewbacca?

After all, if Huckabee can drag around Chuck Norris like a developmentally disabled show-and-tell prop, if Obama can trot out Oprah for people to reach out and touch as if they're proto-humans and she's the Monolith, if Clinton can throw Clinton down the mountain like the witch unleashing the flying monkeys, if Edwards can channel Jerry Lewis as he parades cleft palate Toastmasters for his 24/7 telethon, if Romney can unleash an entire hive of Stepford Children on the electorate like Dick Cheney shootin at some food and instead hitting a wasp hive next to an old ladies' home, if nobody even dares to look in Rudy Giuliani's direction because only Lucifer on meth has the slightest notion who Giuliani plans to foist on us come Florida and beyond, well, young fella....um, sorry, what was the question?

Hilarious Mr. Yard and Mr. Vaught. But Paul may actually be Emperor Palpatine. Via Politics1:

PAUL. The New Republic is set to publish on Friday an damaging expose on Congressman Ron Paul (R), portraying him as a virulent racist and anti-Semite. Appearing on Tucker Carlson's show on MSNBC on Monday evening, TNR reported Jamie Kirchick detailed a litany of allegations against Paul. Kirchick said most of his information came from articles published over the past 20 years in the subscription-based Ron Paul Survival Report newsletter. Kirchick said he will detail a two decade history of newsletter articles filled with "racist, anti-semitic, homophobic invective." Further, Kirchick alleged Paul has openly referred to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as a "gay pedophile" and was once a featured speaker at a Confederate "pro-secessionist conference." In a statement published on Paul's campaign website on Monday evening, Paul wrote that he expects "the attacks and even smears [on me] will increase as we do better."

I am SO looking forward to this.
